Mr and Mrs E F McCune of the Shea neighborhood were called to Odell Tuesday night by the serious illness of Mrs Jacob Bowers. She was thought dying of heart trouble but revived, leaving Mrs McCune with her as she remains weak.

Methodist Church Plans Liberty Bond Purchase and Children's Day
At a Sunday school board meeting last Monday the church decided to buy a $50 Liberty Bond once funds are raised. The church school meets next Sunday morning and invites attendees to bring a non Sunday school member. The pastor will be in town for all services, including a second communion service. In the evening the Children’s Day exercises will be held after drills. all are welcome to attend.
