Beatrice Area Car Crash Injures Five On Highway
A motor trip from Council Bluffs to visit relatives near Diller and Steele City ended in a four mile north Beatrice wreck. Mr Lean sustained a broken elbow while his wife and Mr Edmund endured cuts and bruises. Passersby freed two occupants and all were taken to Beatrice hospitals.

Cushman dam plant lights Tacoma with 60 000 HP output
Mr. Geo H Clark of Diller now Tacoma, Wash. sent a copy of the Tacoma News Tribune showing the completion of the Cushman dam and the 60,000 horsepower generating plant across the Skokomish river. The $4 million project will supply light and power to Tacoma via a transmission line and was celebrated with public exercises. President Coolidge pressed a button in Washington to start the plant.
