Beatrice Electric Plant Accident Kills Leo Johnson
Leo Johnson, 46, an electrician with Beatrice city services, was burned to death at the Beatrice electric light plant after two conductors arced in a platform accident. Frank Seng and Frank Leng suffered serious burns, while William Ewing was burned on hands and arms as they fought the flames. The outage lasted about four hours and service was restored with help from Consumers Public Power district crews. Johnson leaves a wife two daughters and his mother plus two brothers.
