Man returns from South Dakota after drawing on Indian reservation

Herbert Stotte went to South Dakota to enter land on an Indian reservation and secured a number in the drawing. He deemed the country poor and returned to his home country. Mrs Stotts and the child ren stayed with relatives at Hubbell.

Millet seed on hand and local sales noted

The notice lists fine home grown millet seed available. Waggoner Bros and Miss Fannie Diller visited in Wyoming between trains on Wednesday. Two Blue Bell cream separators remain for sale at bargain prices. River & Co. and Miss Addie Miller, a Peru normal school student, arrived Saturday for a ten day visit with her hometown folks.

Tincher Rigdon Clothing Firm Plans Return to Diller

I Tincher of Tincher and Rigdon plans to move stock back to Diller Neb next week. They will occupy the Colman Block store again and Rigdon will reside in Mrs Dillers residence. The Record notes their return is welcomed as they were good citizens and hustlers. Joy Reinhardt left for a clerkship in the Census Bureau in Washington DC this week.

H. B. 8 Beaters Business Men In 4 2 Victory

Hod Diller led the H. B. 8. team to a 4 to 2 win over the business men on Wednesday afternoon. Grimes and Diller for the H. 8. team opposed E. Diller and Tipstman for the business men. Diller struck out 15, Grimes 13. This gives the H. 8. seven wins in nine games.

Mrs B F Lightner returned Saturday from visiting relatives at Odell California while Cal Waggoner traveled to Columbus Nebraska Tuesday to attend a state shooting tournament where he will compete as a contestant.

Odell bootlegging figure Albert Craig convicted in Beatrice

Albert Craig known for bootlegging was tried in Beatrice last week, found guilty, and sentenced to 60 days in the county jail. An invitation was extended to the editor and spouse to attend the Nebraska School for the Deaf commencement in Omaha on Monday evening June 6, from Vern L. Butterbaugh, a local graduate.

Odell Band and Orchestra Return Engagement at Loock's Opera House

Odell band and orchestra, twenty pieces in uniform, gave a varied program including marches waltzes duets quartets and overtures. Eighty numbers were performed with strong encore response. The concert drew a good audience and a short intermission separated the band and orchestral portions before the early morning trains home.

Grace Charlotte Cavett youngest daughter of L. M. Cavett was born April 29 1910 and died in May 1910 at one month. Funeral services were held at the home with Rev C B McClure officiating. Interment in Prairie Home Cemetery. Relatives thank neighbors and friends for their kindness.

Diller Boys Win 7–2 as High School Beats Steele City Cubs

Rain wiped out most Friday games except the Diller high school ball match. Grimes struck out eleven, five in the first two innings, while the Cubs’ Friday and Bryant pitched. Diller leads three straight wins over Steele City and has 6 of 8 games this school year with a large crowd watching.
