Herbert Stotte went to South Dakota to enter land on an Indian reservation and secured a number in the drawing. He deemed the country poor and returned to his home country. Mrs Stotts and the child ren stayed with relatives at Hubbell.
The notice lists fine home grown millet seed available. Waggoner Bros and Miss Fannie Diller visited in Wyoming between trains on Wednesday. Two Blue Bell cream separators remain for sale at bargain prices. River & Co. and Miss Addie Miller, a Peru normal school student, arrived Saturday for a ten day visit with her hometown folks.
I Tincher of Tincher and Rigdon plans to move stock back to Diller Neb next week. They will occupy the Colman Block store again and Rigdon will reside in Mrs Dillers residence. The Record notes their return is welcomed as they were good citizens and hustlers. Joy Reinhardt left for a clerkship in the Census Bureau in Washington DC this week.
Miss Edna Martin arrived from Odell last evening to spend a few days with friends in Diller, signaling a short social visit in the community.

John Janpérson and wife of Cortland, Nebraska, and Billy Baumfolk and wife of Pickrell, Nebraska, who had visited since Saturday with friends and relatives here, returned Tuesday to their respective homes.
Mrs. Al Taylor of Wymore visited with her brother A D Stotts and family for Decoration Day exercises at Diller. She returned home Tuesday with two of her brother's children.
The Record received a copy of the Des Moines Tribune containing photos of the Still Medical College of Osteopathy graduating class. Among the graduates were J. E. Steffen and A. F Steffen, sons of Mr and Mrs F W Steffen of this place.
Hod Diller led the H. B. 8. team to a 4 to 2 win over the business men on Wednesday afternoon. Grimes and Diller for the H. 8. team opposed E. Diller and Tipstman for the business men. Diller struck out 15, Grimes 13. This gives the H. 8. seven wins in nine games.
Mrs B F Lightner returned Saturday from visiting relatives at Odell California while Cal Waggoner traveled to Columbus Nebraska Tuesday to attend a state shooting tournament where he will compete as a contestant.
Albert Craig known for bootlegging was tried in Beatrice last week, found guilty, and sentenced to 60 days in the county jail. An invitation was extended to the editor and spouse to attend the Nebraska School for the Deaf commencement in Omaha on Monday evening June 6, from Vern L. Butterbaugh, a local graduate.
Odell band and orchestra, twenty pieces in uniform, gave a varied program including marches waltzes duets quartets and overtures. Eighty numbers were performed with strong encore response. The concert drew a good audience and a short intermission separated the band and orchestral portions before the early morning trains home.
A local notice lists several small items and updates. Alex Bell returned from Boone county to check on land interests. Ed Ogden and family visited Diller. Dr Diehl operated on Elsie Sonnenberg in Beatrice for gangrenous appendicitis. A sale advertises two row Dempster cultivators at half price and second-hand buggies.
Wm. Plager and his niece Miss Pearl Bausch arrived Saturday from Bellevue Iowa and are visiting at the home of his sister and her mother Mrs L Bausch southwest of town.
Amos Bush, a longtime resident, informs that the postal department asks routing his mail from Granger instead of Alfalfa Wash and to update his record accordingly. He asks friends to note the change of his post office address.
Grace Charlotte Cavett youngest daughter of L. M. Cavett was born April 29 1910 and died in May 1910 at one month. Funeral services were held at the home with Rev C B McClure officiating. Interment in Prairie Home Cemetery. Relatives thank neighbors and friends for their kindness.
Rain wiped out most Friday games except the Diller high school ball match. Grimes struck out eleven, five in the first two innings, while the Cubs’ Friday and Bryant pitched. Diller leads three straight wins over Steele City and has 6 of 8 games this school year with a large crowd watching.
J. E. Clark shipped a mixed stock load to St. Joe market Tuesday. Opening announcement next week. Miss Clara Rhodes of Beatrice visited with her sister Mrs. Dr. Diebl and family. Catlin reports cabbage plants stolen from his garden. Ensley Carmichael and family returned from St. Joe and plan a short stay before moving to Southern Kansas and Oklahoma.
Rhue Green and Edward Kielsmeier of Beatrice attended the commencement exercises last Friday evening and visited with Diller relatives through Monday, sharing in the event and family time.
Professor James A Eastwood of Stella Nebraska attended the Diller High School commencement at Loock's Opera House last Friday evening as superintendent elect for the upcoming year.
