Mrs Elias Hadley came back Saturday after visiting her parents and other relatives at Phillips Nebraska.
A 94 pound boy was born on the 20th to Mr and Mrs Chas Frank Adela Henning residence seven and one half miles north of Diller in the rural area.
Ed Wehling son of Louie Wehling living south of town returned last week from Kansas City where he completed a one year course in the Sweeney automobile school.
The Diller Farmers Grain Co held its annual meeting at City hall on January 12. The manager’s report showed a prosperous year with total sales of 297,700.16 dollars and a net profit of 4,419.05 dollars. A 2,500.00 dollar dividend and regular interest on capital stock were approved. F. Henrichs presided, Arthur Wieths was secretary, and directors Frank Cully, Henry Wiemers, and John Plager were re-elected for the coming year.

Miss Eleanor Schuette, injured in an auto accident a week ago last Saturday evening, is getting along remarkably well and can be up and about the house.
Mr and Mrs Jack Clancy of Beatrice were in Diller for a Saturday visit. Mr Clancy attended the annual meeting of the Farmers Union Co-Op Store in which he is a stockholder.
Auctioneer W. F. Schuette conducted a very successful sale for Mr. Wilson near Steele City on the 17th. He plans a community sale at Hollenberg on February 4.
The Crittenden Grain Co with J E Stone manager is replacing the buckled stone foundation of its local elevator. A Lincoln foreman supervises the project while local workers handle the labor.
A saddle girth broke during cattle riding on Thursday, causing the rider to fall beneath the horse. The horse bolted and stepped on Clem's face, inflicting a facial wound needing several stitches. Oracle.
The N R C Club met Monday evening and surprised Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Hill with a rock game. Helen Frisbie and Arthur Wieths won a prize, while Mrs. Wieths and daughter Hilda attended as guests. Refreshments included sandwiches pickles cake and cocoa. Everyone reported a good time.

Leonard enjoyed his first Colorado visit and there is no marriage plan indicated for any of the travelers.
Wiemers Brothers will have their sale at Fairbury next Tuesday. The annual cemetery meeting was held yesterday as the Record went to press. Ponce de Leon found the foundation of youth lost in Florida, but other losses there are noted as well.
