Mrs O Mayborn and children Altred and Mildred traveled to Lincoln Tuesday with sister Mrs S A Reisner and two children Roscoe and Harri son from Granite Illinois visiting since New Year. They plan to visit relatives in Lincoln. E F Oaks of Shea neighborhood reports a letter from son Alfred Oaks who homesteaded in Minnesota stating a visit to a neighbor ended with a fire destroying all belongings except clothing on their backs.

Diller Farmers Grain Co Stockholders Meet January
The Diller Farmers Grain Company shipped two carloads of live stock to the St. Joseph market on commission. Besides grain and stock, the firm handles coal hay and stock foods. Fred Henrichs is president Arthur Vieths secretary and I R Andrews. The annual stockholders meeting will be held January 12.

Local visits wrap up with family time after holidays
S. Cloyd. Cully and two rep. Lynn and Garle spent time visiting at the home of her sister Mrs. W. G. Robertson and family at Wayne, returning home Monday. Mrs. H. H. Near Miss Involving Lottman Sasse At Bridge West Of Town
Jake Lottman and Ernest Sasse narrowly avoided a collision Monday at the bridge west of Will Beh rend’s place, southwest of town. Both drivers escaped injury though vehicles suffered minor damage. A dip and a sharp curve just past the bridge create a dangerous spot requiring attention by authorities.

Hunters Restricted to Rabbit Pursuit After Season End
Hunters must confine themselves to rabbit hunting as duck goose and squirrel seasons expired last Saturday leaving only rabbits open for pursuit in the region.
Obituary for Anna Marie Lott nee Eisenhaver
Anna Marie Eisenhaver Lottman died December 25 at age 78 in Fairbury after heart trouble. She was born May 10 1849 in Phalzdorf Germany and came to Nebraska in 1891. She married Gerd Weerts in 1873, had five children, and after his death married Jacob Lottman in 1908. Survivors include four children Katie Fiene Anna Junker Henry Weerts John Weerts as well as numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren. funeral services were held at the home and Lutheran church in Fairbury with Rev Stillman.
