Alfred Pickard, born near Miponk February 18 1874, son of George and Hannah Pickard, died December 25 1947 at Diller Nebraska at age 73. He married Ella Bateman October 26 1905. three children survive Ethel Matie George Willians and Lavern Alfred of Fairtar. He lived most of his life in Diller, worked in farming, blacksmithing, pump and wind mill business, tapemert, cafe operation, and served 20 years as traveling salesman for an implement firm out of Norfolk. He is mourned by Ruth, Ehel Cruise, Lavern, Lavern, and many friends. the Pickard family played a central role in Diller’s development.
