Birth of 94 pound boy to Roy Edgington family
A 94 pound boy was born the 15th to Mr and Mrs Roy Edgington Lara Southwick residing 44 miles south of Diller. Henrichs Bros had a very satisfactory bred Hampshire hog sale in Diller last Saturday considering the prevailing low prices of market hogs.

Geer Leads Cornbelt Lumber Co Couple to State Convention

The Keystone Kensington met at Mrs C L Waggoner's home last Friday for a short business session and piecing guilt blocks. Red white and blue decorations honored George Washington's birthday with refreshments served by Mrs Claude Woods Miss Minnie Clausson and Mrs Scott Miller. Attending were Mrs arman Mrs Waggoner Miss Lois Mc Laughlin Mrs H A Bell and Mrs Donald Tincher and Billy of Wymore. H A Bell invited an all day meeting for February.

Schoolteacher and friends visit relatives in Fairbury and Diller

Cavetts Abort Wilber Trip Due to Rough Roads
Mr and Mrs LM Cavett began a Sunday drive to Wilber to see former city residents Mr and Mrs Sam Diller but found the roads too rough and returned to Beatrice. Diller, long bedridden in a Grand Island hospital with typhoid fever, has improved somewhat after recent homecoming and hopes to recover mobility soon.

Poor road conditions kept many away but doors opened for all. Charlie the attorney impressed as the jury found the defendant not guilty amid curious petitions and social anecdotes. Next meeting on February 23 will consider those petitions.

Fairbury Event Highlights National Drama Week and Local Social
The article recalls a patriotic program featuring Mrs R Andrews and Mrs V Logan with discussions on religion drama and literature during National Drama Week. It notes a Valentine Tea hosted by the Fairbury Woman's Club at the Elks rooms with slides from Central America and a talk by Mrs W F Bilby about a European trip. Rev F X Myron of New Bethlehem Pa sailed for the Holy Land on February 9 1928 at age 82, and officiated at several pioneer funerals including Samuel Diller in 1879 after whom Diller Nebr was named.

Obituary of L M Upson Pioneer Resident of Beatrice Area
Mr L M Upson died aged 76 after paralysis led him back to Beatrice to live with his sister Miss Marie Upson. He earlier lived near Upson church and managed a Bros lumber yard in Beatrice before moving to West Plains Missouri where his wife Minnie Cafferty had died in 1916. He is survived by one son and five sisters. Funeral services were held at the Upson home with Rev Ross McCown and Rev N H Hawkins officiating and burial at Evergreen Home cemetery in Beatrice. nephews served as pallbearers.

Funeral for Ex-Co. Com. Chas. W. Rohrbaugh in Fairbury
The funeral of Chas. W. Rohrbaugh, ex commissioner, died suddenly in Pueblo, Colo., was held Sunday at the Fairbury Methodist church. Rev. Kendall led services and burial was in Fairbury cemetery. Survived by widow and seven children including a daughter married to Dick Willems of Warroad Minnesota. Many from Diller attended.
