Miss Bulah Bell came home Monday after a short stay in Lincoln visiting her sister Mrs Maude Hull and Hulls husband.
Mrs. Ernest Sheebotham of Fairbury and her sister Mrs. J A Schuffler of the Harbine vicinity were seen shopping in DiNér on Wednesday.
Miss Pearl Culp a trained nurse from Everts sanitorium who had cared for Mrs Geoockey a couple of weeks returned to Lincoln Monday The Misses Rebecca and Susie Armstead of Tecumseh visited their brother H S Armstead and wife and returned on No 16 yesterday
Claude Woods came back to Lincoln on Tuesday to resume his studies at the State Agricultural College after spending a few days at his parents Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Woods home.
Viers and Paul Logan took an early train to St. Joe for the Missouri Valley Veterinary convention and to shop for Mr. Logan's store at Shea.
Mrs. Sarah Haining of Garnett Kansas ended a visit here with her sister Mrs. Geo Stockey and returned Wednesday from Phillips County Kansas to prolong her stay and plans to have Mrs. Stockey accompany her home when able to do so for recuperation.
George M Baker presents a 2 hour 15 minute drama with a ten character cast at the Opera House, Friday night March 2. Diller Volunteer Fire Department uses proceeds to buy firefighting equipment. Tickets sold by firemen. aim to raise a hundred dollars. support urged by L. D. Calkins and local notices include watches and a horse for sale. Babb family note mentions Miss Bessie Babb’s Omaha visit.
Mr and Mrs Fred J Witty travel from Wiiets Kansas to stay with his wife parents Mr and Mrs E Carmichael and other relatives during a Monday evening visit.
E S Diller will farm the Musser farm one mile south of Diller, now owned by Dr Claude Ellis, after moving up from near Blue Springs on Tuesday.
The notice promotes a pie social and minstrel show for District 152 on February 23 with a follow up pie social. Ladies are asked to bring pies. Fern Hays listed as teacher. Geo Specht and family moved into Diller on Wednesday taking possession of the residence bought from A E Price, who sold them their farm.

Thompson and Glathar, both of Diller, were married Sunday February 1 1917 at Beaver City Nebraska by a Christian minister. They returned to Diller on February 16 and will begin housekeeping on a farm three miles southwest of town with work for Thompson this season.

The Lyceum club promotes a high class winter entertainment program in Diller with popular prices. Local support lags, so buyers must cover a shortfall unless the Varallo Gross Orchestra Co. draws hearty patronage at tonight's opera house performance. Attend tonight and support the club’s effort to bring quality acts to the town.
The church lists daily prayer meetings at 2 30 P M and activities for girls women and men with speakers Mrs Sullivan and Bro Sullivan. Sunday schedule includes 10 A M Sunday School 11 A M preaching and 3 P M meetings. Members invite all to attend and enjoy the union chorus.
The Ladies Aid Society respond to a bedding request from Omaha Methodist Hospital by making quilts and comforters. They ask members and friends to donate pillow cases and sheets, specifying pillow cases 21 by 33 inches and sheets two by two yards. The group appreciates any assistance.

By a five to two vote the Gage county board of supervisors defeated the petition from the Gage county crop improvement association seeking a levy to fund county agent work for the coming year. The farm demonstrator program, run by an organization of over 400 farmers for four years, faces no planned discontinuation despite the board’s action.
