Hereford Hogs Sell Across Eight States in Iowa Sale
Henry Wiemers held a February 10 sale in Marshalltown selling 45 bred Hereford sons. The top bid reached 125 dollars while all animals sold above 50 dollars, averaging 66 dollars and totaling 2970 for the herd. Hogs were delivered to eight states including Washington Minnesota Wisconsin Pennsylvania Illinois Indiana Iowa and Nebraska. Relatives report the death of J. B. Wright known as Boss Wright at his son Gully Wrights home in Powell Wyoming on Tuesday February 11 after a Christmas illness. He was 87 or 88 and a leading local auctioneer for many years. Funeral services were held in Powell with interment there.

Roy Broadstone died at Qdell hospital Tuesday afternoon after a brief illness caused by streptococcus and bronchial pneumonia. He leaves his wife Francis Johnson, daughter Leila, and two young sons. funeral services are Friday at 2:00 PM, with burial in Steele City Cemetery conducted by the American Legion.

Former Buhl Girl Dies In Shoshone
Mrs. Alice Mary Pospisil Base of Richfield died at Shoshone January 19. Born July 4, 1907 in Diller Nebraska she moved to Idaho in 1920 and graduated Buhl high school in 1924. She married Louis J Base in February 1927 and is survived by her husband four daughters her parents two sisters and two brothers. The Buhl Herald also reports Fairbury bricklayer John Kirkland died February 4 after a brief illness at age 72.
