County Division Creates Four Road Districts in Pleasant

At the last meeting the county commissioners granted the petition of C L E Blauser and others and divided Pleasant precinct into four road districts. Overseers for those four districts were appointed: Carl Schmuelle for district nine, Carl Braasch for district forty three, E F Oaks for district forty four, and John W Mathias for district forty five.

Harbine Merchant Ira Fallmer Dies After Hospital Treatment

Ira Fallmer of Harbine died Sunday night after extended treatment following a broken leg sustained there. Complications led to his death. He conducted a mercantile business at Harbine for several years with his nephew and was about forty three years old.

Two men in a car overtook a boy with a gun and his dog Tecumseh. The dog was killed before the vehicle could be stopped. the boy fired at the men but no one was hurt and prosecution was declined. Fire accident injures Miss Brigge and she recovers

Mise Mildred Brigge formerly of Diller now Summerfield Kansas was severely burned when gas in a stove exploded while she swept in front of it. She suffered burns to her hands and face but recovered without scars and has resumed teaching at Brookwalter School in the state.

Death of F B Senior at Diller Nebraska

F B Senior died at his home near Diller Nebraska February 3 1911 at age 78 years 11 months 13 days after a short illness of strangulated hernia Funeral was held from the home February Std at two oclock conducted by Rev F Samann and burial in Prairie Home Cemetery He was born March 20 1832 in Ostertriesland Germany He joined the Lutherp church at fourteen and remained faithful He married first in 1853 to Anke Sebolte with three children two dying in infancy He remarried in 1865 to Renaldt Johnson and had seven children five sons and two daughters One daughter died in infancy All children were present at his death Family moved from Germany to Peoria Illinois in 1874 then to Plattsmouth Nebr after eight years In 1880 the family moved to Diller Nebr He leaves wife eight children seventeen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren

Mr and Mrs Arthur Grogshueach of two miles west of Harbine bury their six year old daughter who died of pneumonia yesterday as the family plans a move to South Dakota.

Panther at Large Near Fairbury Terrorizes Blue River Area

A February 7 Lincoln Star item reports a large panther that escaped a show is at liberty in the northwest part of Jefferson County near Fairbury. The animal is said to have killed young cattle and is being hunted by armed men. It has been sighted along the Little Blue River near Powell and in timber by Powell.
