Date moved from February 19 to the 25th to run two trains north and west. The Burlington will operate two trains from Omaha and Lincoln, with the Northwestern and Union Pacific lines involved. Four speakers from the Nebraska Agricultural Experiment Station and others will accompany each train.
Reverend E B Macxy arrived home Wednesday from Peru Nebraska where he had gone after his little son James who spent several weeks there with his grandparents.

Mr and Mrs David Godshall spent weeks with his sister Mrs A L Tinstman and family then departed Wednesday for Ohio visiting relatives at Aurora Illinois Elsie Tinstman accompanied them to Beatrice. A second cattle shipment from the station to St Joe was sent Wednesday with J E Clark Chas Barber and Sam Friday handling lead animals Mrs Barber and Mrs Friday planned to meet their husbands at St Joe and return via Sabetha visiting hospital friends along the way.
About 150 business leaders and farmers gathered in Lakshall for a Good Roads meeting led by Thos. P. Price. C. L. Blauser spoke on organize a roads drive, J. W. Fouts outlined a Good Roads Day and a fall banquet, pledges were sought to work a mile of road, and 16 miles were pledged while attendees celebrated with cigars and apples.
Valentine's day plans are noted for Wednesday with wood for sale and inquiries to Joe thatt. A fourth annual school play is announced for February 16 in an adjacent column. A farmers institute is planned for February 23 at Loock's hall Diller with an interesting program. Mrs Ed Ogden visited from Wymore to her parents Mr and Mrs F M McManes. J D Fanders is mentioned with business changes and local real estate. Dr Dieh sold his old auto and bought a four passenger Otto awaiting delivery. Harry Green returns to Burlington depot carpenters and spent Sunday at home.
Mrs LeRoy Paine who had visited here a couple of days at the home of her daughter Mrs Ada Paine Cully returned yesterday to her home in Shell.
W T Ward arrives Monday evening from Ohio and visits his daughter Mrs CH Wrigt near Diller and son Ed Ward near Ellis. An illustrated Panama Canal lecture at the opera house Tuesday evening covers Bolivia Peru Chile and their peoples. Admission adults two reserved 35c. school children two seats 25c.
Weather kept preaching away last Sunday at Rock Creek. Womens' Home and Foreign Missionary societies met with Mrs. Hartzell. Sunday school drew encouraging attendance and a strong collection. Services: Sunday 10 am Sunday school, 11 am and 7 pm preaching, Thursday prayer meeting at 8:30. Revival meetings render several conversions and positive reports across the area.
