Mrs. Phillip Taddeken, living 24 miles west of town, is reported on the sick list. Mrs. Sarah a Christmas day with wives and friends in Lincoln, Rev. and Mrs. Ludwick spent Christmas with their sons in Tin. Will return home on Saturday.
Earl Seifford, who had been ill for some time, is not so well and remains largely confined to his bed part of the time.
University students Miss Mildred Mayborn Mr Richard Mayborn and Mr Wendell Fanders spend the holidays with their families in Diller, returning home for the festive season.

Aubrey Diller, Greek and Latin instructor at a state university in Ann Arbor Michigan, arrived Sunday for a holiday visit with Diller relatives. His father J Smith Diller met him with his car in Beatrice.
Mesgers and Mesdames C. E. Werand and S. C. Moser spoke at Bethlehem's Methodist church pageant in Endicott last Sunday night. They lauded the young participants for the fine production and morale shown during the event.
Miss Marguerite and Helen Green traveled from near town Tuesday and returned Wednesday accompanied by their mother Mrs Carrie Green and sister Bonnie. They will spend Christmas at the V Y. A. Raymond home with Mr and Mrs R W Green Norma Rex Green family Everett Green H E Green and Rhue Green also joining. Santa is expected to appear.
Henry Riggert 60 prominent farmer residing between Lanham and Hanover died after his car skidded last Thursday and overturned into a ditch on a roadway. He was crushed and injured, taken to a hospital by Waggoner ambulance. His wife family and local churches mourn his death.

Henry A Shuman age 83 died at his Fairbury home on Wednesday afternoon. A retired minister, he was the father of Eva Buman County Superintendent. Burial followed at Memorial Cemetery in Lincoln. Survived by his wife and a daughter of Fairbury and a son in Havelock.
The N C S A enjoyed a festive afternoon by Mrs Theo Henrichs at her country home on December 17. Rooms were decorated for Christmas with illuminated trees and gifts. Members attended the social hour with Mrs Kert Upson as a guest, sharing needlework and cheerful conversation.

The N R C were invited to a Christmas gathering at Mr and Mrs Grone’s to see Santa and gifts. Old Santa with reindeer appeared as presents lay on the tree and floor. Four little girls distributed gifts while guests enjoyed lunch and shared memories with friends and neighbors.
Mrs Onke Franzen, long ill in Steele City News notes, has shown improvement and can sit up briefly each day after several days of sickness.
