Col Chas Lind piloted the Spirit of St Louis from Washington at 12 29 p m Tuesday to Mexico City at 2 39 p m Wednesday covering over 2000 miles in 26 hours 10 minutes amid mountains plains and valleys. He received a hearty greeting on arrival. Free Logan learns of his father James Logan's death at 8 30 a m in Carroll Nebraska and funeral plans in Prairie Home Nebraska remain undetermined.
