Neighbors gathered December 6 to husk corn in Mr. Herman Stahl s field with twenty two workers unloading about 800 bushels into the crib. At noon many helpers shared a communal meal attended by ten local women, then continued until nightfall. A wedding was held at the Baptist parsonage in Fairbury on Wednesday evening December 12 at 6 o'clock. Haze Mapel of Fairbury and Chas Crinklaw of Diller exchanged vows with Rev apne officiating. The bride wore pink georgette over satin and carried Columbia roses. Elmer Kors nee Kerting Crinklaw sang, and Mrs. played the wedding march. The couple will reside in Diller where Crinklaw has a business.
