Mr and Mrs Oscar Amos and Dean Mrs Isabella Raymond and daughters ey and Flossie plus Mr and Mrs W A Raymond and daughter Donna Jane of Courtland Kang shared a turkey Thanksgiving dinner at the home of their brother uncle and aunt Mr and Mrs C A Ewers of Fairbury.

The event date shifts from Friday December 12 to Thursday December 11 at District 118 located one mile south and east of Diller. All are invited. Ardath Muth, teacher, asks attendees to bring boxes or pies.
Pearl Caldwell Malinda Weichel Eldon Hudson and Alfred Malchow joined their teacher Mrs Fanders at Fairbury on Saturday afternoon to assist in a seed corn demonstration before the Vitalized Agriculture teachers of Jefferson county.

E E McCune and his wife drove to Havelock on Wednesday for Thanksgiving dinner with her father Jacob Bowers at his home. Her brother Frank and his Omaha family joined. They returned in time to hear the Green Glee Club's radio concert at the Box Holl home.
Dr Chas Gobbey president of Cotner College will give the next lecture under Piller Community Club auspices on Friday December 12 in the Federated church. A high class musical program will precede the talk, Superintendent Erickson arranging. The Lutheran bazaar is set for December 10 at Ernest Sasée home.
Mr and Mrs Ray Green and daughter Norma Frances spent Thanksgiving day at the home of Mrs Green's sister Mrs Ray Coleman in Lincoln. They returned home Sunday.
The Diller community club invites members and sympathetic locals to a come together meeting at 7:00 p m with a free oyster soup. A small membership fee applies to men in the area while women join free. Five members will give five minute talks.
Mr. F. W. Wesenberg died Wednesday evening at his daughter's home near Diller from apoplexy after a period of poor health. Funeral arrangements were not yet settled, likely to be Saturday afternoon. The report also notes a Green Family Glee Club radio program from the WOAW Omaha studio, with members Ray Rex Rhue Esther Everett Helen Nellie Marguerite Bonnie, all children of H E Green.
J N Howard, 21, a Rock Island employee from Fairbury, vanished after last Friday when he left in a Ford coupe license 1219 engine 6303373 claiming he would go hunting. He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, 160 pounds with light hair and blue eyes. He moved to Fairbury six months ago from New Hampton Iowa. Search parties and sheriff cards with his description are in circulation.
