J. T. Hendricks purchased the Adan tract adjoining Diller on the west for 1600 dollars and plans to build a residence next season. Also advertised are a patent medicine and cold remedy from Neely's Pharmacy promising blood purification and relief from coughs and bronchial troubles.
Public notices list three sales near Diller. C H Wright advertises a Dec 9 sale at his residence for horses cattle and implements with free lunch. J B Wright as auctioneer. C F Smith and B V Miller hold a Dec 8 sale at Kosier farm disposing of 9 horses 34 cattle 16 hogs and machinery. Shaver plans Dec 19 remote sale with livestock and tools. J B Wright and A Mayborn listed as auctioneer and clerk.
Enoch Robbins 70, a Harbine resident and Civil War veteran, died of heart failure while hunting with friends near Harbine. Born October 15, 1848, he served in Company A, 5th Missouri Cavalry from 1863 to 1865. He left four children, two of whom, Geo and B, survived, and his funeral was held at Harbine Cemetery.
In the matter of the estate of 8 Foz the administration is ordered. December 7, 1008 is set for appearance at 6 in Fairbury to address the case. Local officials note the filing and reader may be required to appear.
