The obituary notes Grampa Huonicet died Sunday morning November 22 after about ten days of illness. Born in Virginia in 1824, he moved to Hendley Nebraska in early days and lived there until his death at age 84 years 2 months 16 days. Rev Adame of Omaha preached the funeral at 11 oclock Monday and burial was in Lynden cemetery. He leaves three sons one sister and many relatives. Burglaries at Loock and Habicht general store in Diller last Thursday night left about thirty suits of clothes, several overcoats, and silk missing. Entry was gained by breaking the south back door with a glass pane removed. Thieves used a shoe box dark lantern with a candle. Beatrice hounds failed to pick up scent. Sheriff Charnside arrested Ed Polak and Frank Saunders at Wymore and took them to Fairbury. one confesses to robbing Mr Stark at Steele City. Another suspect, John Sparkes, charged with concealing stolen property. Further arrests expected as gang activity extends to nearby towns.
