Clark C Wells born February 18 1859 near Albany Indiana died August 22 1936 in Odell Nebraska aged 77 years 6 months 4 days He was a farmer stock raiser and lived in Nemaha Richardson Jefferson and Gage counties before retiring to Ellis He married Margaret Syster in 1881 and survives with one daughter six sons a brother 12 grandchildren and great grandchildren Funeral services were in Ellis Methodist Church with interment in Diller cemetery He moved with his family to Falls City Nebraska as a child and later to a farm south of Ellis Mrs Maude Hemphill and C V Hemphill attended the funeral with others from Ellis and Morrill Kansas and Iowa relatives.
