Mrs Fisher Killed at R R Crossing Near Diller
The German Lutheran and Upson church mother Sophia Fisher aged 84 was struck by Burlington train No 15 while returning from her granddaughter's home. She flew fifty feet into a wire fence, died instantly and the coroner's jury attributed death to the train strike. Funeral held with Rev Slaven officiating. Interment in Upson cemetery.

Boy Bitten by Rattler Near Diller Also Dog Affected
A 14 year old son of Mr and Mrs S F Stull on the G C Specht farm three miles NW of Diller was bitten by a rattlesnake Monday. The family dog was also bitten and its head swelled. A Diller physician treated the boy and he soon recovered. the dog is expected to recover.
