Dr. E K Paine of Fairbury will be at Hutchinson's barn in Diller on Tuesday August 22 for veterinary services. Dr. L R Fritz of Wymore added a new independent telephone to his office equipment to aid out of town patients. Miss Edna Young of Albion visited Paul and Mrs Stange then went to Lincoln for a few days. Mrs Chadwick’s assets total seven tenths of one percent of her $3 000 000 indebtedness.

Mrs J H Friday of Steele City dies after illness

Mrs J H Friday of Steele City died early Monday from blood poisoning following an amputation attempt on her foot last week. A funeral sermon was held at Steele City by Rev McAlister with burial in Fairbury cemetery. Survived by her husband and eight children. daughters include Mrs Will Woods Mrs Herbert Beckwith and Mrs Frank Lambers others reside near Diller and Lanham.

The Old Settlers Association of Gage county announces its annual business meeting and picnic at Beatrice chautauqua grounds on August 24. Judge H. P. Young Local Man Peuben Gretzinger Dies At 22

Obituary notes the death of Peuben Gretzinger at 22 after a brief illness on Sunday morning August 13. He married Sadie Bixby on June 7 and had lately begun married life. The service at the Presbyterian church included a sermon by pastors and a male quartet, with prayers for comfort for the family.
