Velma and Vera Amos visiting Will Egger family Lincoln.
The Plymouth village board votes to gravel five blocks of the main street and install curb and gutter on three blocks. Two drinking fountains are also planned for the project.
Mrs Joe Novotny and her son Ernest and daughter Elizabeth accompany her son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Albert Bures on a motor trip to Perry Oklahoma to visit relatives and friends. They plan to be away a week.
Mr and Mrs Arthur Grone and daughter Violet returned Friday from a visit through Wyoming Colorado Kansas and Nebraska to see relatives and friends. They cut the trip short due to hot dry weather and did not plan further travel.
Dr. S. B. Viers and Mayor S. C. Moser visited the county seat Monday. Ed McCune oversaw picnic bill distribution at Fairbury. A 70 acre Frank Roseman Jr wheat field yielded 80 bushels per acre. Arthur J. Floyd, piano tuner, will be in Diller soon. Large turnout from Diller area attended the Odell community picnic and dance Tuesday. Evelyn of menos Ott attending at Mrs. W. I. Filley’s home.
Mrs. QO Bergfelder, who has been visiting Hawkeye Waverly and Independence in Iowa for the past two weeks, is expected to return home this afternoon.
Farmers Union Store and Cully Grocery announce noon closing and new hours of 5 to 6 30 P M on next Wednesday and Thursday for the Diller picnic event.
Rev. W. S. McCallister pastor of the Diller M E Church and his wife started early Tuesday morning in their Ford to spend two weeks visiting her brother and family at Hominy Oklahoma in a region described.
Mrs W I Hollenberger and her two children Hubert and Eleanor visit Evelyn and sister Mrs He at A R Hollenberger's home after a motor trip from Omaha. They expect to return today.
Frank Cole born February 24 1877 in Cass County Nebraska died at 49 in Fairbury Jefferson County after moving there in 1888. He married Danny Barber in 1899 and had three children Mrs Earl Stull Mrs Sam Stull and Russell Cale. He left parents Mr and Mrs Joe Cale of Wymore.
F M Tippin, 56, longtime Jefferson County resident, appeals to voters with a self profile and campaign letter. He recounts eight years as deputy, sheriff appointments, and reelections, urging support at the August 10 primary and November election. He notes a personal setback with Mrs Mary A Cunningham breaking a hip in Los Calif.
A. T. Nelson of the Ellis neighborhood returned Friday from Potter Nebraska where he visited the Madden family long-time Diller residents and found them well. He owns land near Potter with five crops growing in the area.
Mica Viola Ernst of Kenesaw Nebraska wed in Hastings Nebraska on Saturday July 1 1926 at 4 PM at the home of Mr and Mrs Henry Gearhardt with the Rev Buckner of the three Christian Church officiating. The bride is a Fairbury city teacher and the groom works in the Fairbury Light and Water Department. They will reside at 1122 Sixth Street Fairbury after a brief honeymoon.
