Village Officials Face Salary Changes Under New Law
The new legislative bill 83 caps village salaries with village clerk and treasurer at 150 dollars annually, an attorney at 150, marshal up to 50 dollars monthly, street commissioner up to 600 dollars yearly, and pays the clerk 50 dollars yearly and treasurer 25 dollars. The old rate for marshal in Diller is 25 dollars monthly and street commissioner pay is 30 cents per hour. The law includes no minimum salary, so raises or cuts are possible.
