Diller Launches Second World War Bond Drive

Diller residents organize committees to raise funds with Newton precinct quota at 16.00 and Endicott at 12,500. town overall target 4,000. Meetings include J. Smith, Robert Upscea as Pleasant precinct chairman, Mrs. W. E. Anderson for the town, with several solicitors. Drive runs until May 1, urging Americans to dig deeper to stay free. In a separate incident, a team of mules and a disc wagon escaped when the double-tree broke during field work near Diller. the driver, Mr. Fox, was thrown clear but unharmed.

The group discussed L B 123 and an attached amendment, noted broad farm to market needs, and observed an Air Base tour showing a new 112 day course divided into eight sections.
