Will Bell Visits as Father’s Illness prompts trip
Will Bell arrived Thursday from Bellingham Washington after a message about his father Alex Bell’s serious illness. He came on short notice and expects his wife to join him in a few days. Lloyd Henry of Tecumseh, formerly a Citizens State Bank bookkeeper, came via the Ford route and spent time with old Diller acquaintances. He has enlisted as an aviation quartermaster in the navy and plans to report to the Great Lakes training station in Chicago soon.

Mr and Mrs L M Cavett with daughter Fern traveled to Omaha on Tuesday morning and returned Thursday evening by Rock Island to Fairbury. Fern Cavett had surgery for appendicitis and spent five weeks in a Methodist hospital there. She walks some and moves about part of the day.
