J H Sparks a St. Joseph bridge contractor was acquitted last Thursday in Beatrice after being charged with obtaining money under false pretenses for a bridge never built. A new baby girl weighing 9 pounds arrived at the home of Mr and Mrs J E Kerr early Tuesday morning and shows promise of becoming a singer.
