Fremont Boy Injured by Horse Kick

Elmer Nelson aged 16 from Fremont was seriously hurt when a horse kicked him after being led from a watering trough. The animal lurched as a dog barked, striking Nelson’s forehead and fracturing his skull. He underwent surgery at Fremont hospital and has a slim chance of recovery.

Herbert W. Scott a leading Hastings business man died after months of illness from paralysis. Formerly of Kearney and Holdrege he served as Holdrege mayor. He ran a grain business with his father A. Elevated car jumps track injuring many in Chicago

An elevated railroad car on the south side jumped the track near Indiana avenue station crashing to the ground. Eight seriously hurt and one possibly fatally injured as many others sustained injuries. Motorman George Stang was severely injured with a fractured skull and internal damage and was taken to Wesley hospital.
