The roadbed of the St. Joe and Grand Island railroad running through the county will be rebuilt in spring. The grade will receive rock ballast and the rails will be replaced with new heavier ones.

The town debates whether to issue bonds for a new city hall or use warrants, weighing options from an $800 village hall to a $2500 bonded building. The Diller ice trust received a car load of manufactured ice from Atchison Kansas last Friday and stored it in F M McManes ice house behind his hotel. They plan to purchase two or three more car loads this summer. The Epworth League Entertainment Course reports strong success with the final number featuring Dr Horn in a world trip talk. Tickets are on sale at Spear Drug Co T 25c for adults 15c for school children 10c for under 12.
Rain stopped farmers work after a wet Tuesday. Local families spent Sunday with relatives and church attendance continued. Garden work begins, seed planting advised as ground warms. Dvorak mumps kept some at home. Miss Ford plans an end of school entertainment. Farmers prep oats and hens, while logs show hog sales corrected from nine to nine loads.
