F A Moon and Son advertises quality monuments in Fairbury Nebraska established 1886. August Engleman relocates to Beatrice on north 9th street after purchase. Helen Fasnacht, daughter of Elbert and wife, is seriously ill with pneumonia following measles.
The Royal Neighbors meet on the second Friday afternoon and fourth Friday evening each month. Mrs. S C Moser, ill for some time, worsened Tuesday but is reported improving. Mrs. Lewis Munson and two Sterling Colorado children visited with Mrs. Cedric Fanders and Miss Gertrude Lambert. Carroll Diller returned to Lincoln for state farm work after a visit with his parents J and Mrs. J Smith Diller. Mrs. Mattie Clark and Miss Lambert toured to Filley and Crab Orchard to visit relatives. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. J Smith Diller on the 31st with Miss Albrecht caring for mother and baby who are doing well.
Mrs. H. K. Shutt and her son Irwin came home last Friday from Beat Rice where Irwin had an appendicitis operation. He has nearly recovered and plans to return to school next week.

A young daughter of Mr and Mrs John Wehling near Diller has been ill with a mastoid abscess. Miss Grace Myers who spent the weekend at their home returned to Fairbury where she teaches in the city schools.
Mr and Mrs C L E Blauser drove from Normal Nebraska in a Buick coupe to visit Diller relatives and friends on Wednesday and Thursday, spending time with local residents and returning home.
The Diller Library Association will hold its annual meeting in city hall next Thursday night April 10 for the election of officers. The date was moved from Monday due to hall unavailability.
A Sunday letter from Mr and Mrs R F Starr reports their son John with typhoid fever in a Florence South Carolina hospital. His condition is practically unchanged with a high fever yet he is hopeful and holding his own awaiting a fever break.
Trustees election for Dist 70 held with village polls. Three year terms: C L Waggoner 87, Geo Henrichs 86, D W Fanders 56, Mrs O J Mayborn 146. One year vacancy: Mrs S A Miller 19, W I Filley 105.
Wanted stock for pasture two miles south of Endicott with ample water. Henry Wechsels sale listed. Bred sows sold out by B F Henrichs across states. A baby boy and a baby girl were born to local families, with births recorded near Diller Odell and Endicott.
The Federated church ladies announce their annual supper and bazaar to be held the afternoon and evening of April 12. Each participant is asked to donate clothing or fancy work for the event.
In Diller village election Tuesday S F Clark led with 109 votes, C L Tinstman 83, S C Moser 90, and R W Green 65, electing Clark Tinstman and Moser to the board. Voters also approved buying for 250 dollars fourteen vacant lots on North Commercial Street for park purposes by 59 to 17.
Relatives surprised Mrs. Chas. Waggoner at home after church by bringing a cake with pink candles and other homemade treats. Two tables were set for seventeen as guests toasted her birthday with second and third helpings.
The Diller gun club trap team defeated Beatrice 754 to 73 percent in a 600 rock shoot at Beatrice traps yesterday afternoon. Cal Waggoner led Diller with 44 while Elwood Bigler topped Beatrice with 45.
