Dalton Students Tour Quaker Oats Open House in Akron
One hundred twenty eight Dalton high school students visited Quaker Oats in Akron on October 3 for an open house and industrial exposition. Led by Principal Glen Berg and staff, they toured the mill, saw exhibits on farming, chemistry, and packaging, and heard speakers including Rin Tin Tin IV and Quaker executives.

Daniel P. Gerber 87, of Dalton area, died Wednesday morning at home. Survived by daughters Mrs Geiser Mrs Nussbaum Mrs Geiger of Apple Creek. sons Aldis Earl Oscar Grover Daniel. 37 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren three brothers Peter Eli Noah. Funeral Friday at 1 pm at residence and 2 pm at Kidron Mennonite Church with Rev. Hofstetter Zuercher and Bixler officiating. Burial in church cemetery. Arrangements by Desvoignes funeral home.

Delmar Lehman 29 of Orrville died at Beeson hospital after sustaining first to third degree burns from a paint can explosion last Friday.
