The prize cake contest held Saturday at Berg's G A store drew fourteen entries with six winners. Glenn Lecky acted as auctioneer, raising 13.06 on cake auctions while total cash prizes reached 1050. First place winners included Mrs Clyde Longworth in Angel Food and Mrs Wilfed Nussbaum in Chocolate with additional runners up listed. Judges were Miss Fay Pickens and Ernie Simon.

Tragic Farm Accident Claims 12 Year Old Girl
Doris Hartzler, 12, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Hartzler of near Ritman, was dragged under a cultipacker while driving a team at home on Saturday. She died soon after at Wadsworth hospital. A nearby farmer witnessed the incident as parents were away in Wooster.

Louis Adler a renowned Orrville restaurateur aged 68 died last Thursday evening in Orrville from a heart attack. He operated there for more than 30 years and recently retired due to ill health. He leaves brother Edward of Schenectady, N Y. Funeral services were at Leickheim Frey funeral home Saturday with burial in Millersburg cemetery.

Enoch Sprunger Dies Near Orrville at 62
Enoch Sprunger 62 living two miles north of Orrville died at his home Monday night from a stroke. He worked at the Orrville Tile plant and had lived in the area 30 years after coming from Berne Indiana where he was born. Survivors include his wife six children four brothers and four sisters. Funeral Thursday at 2 30 pm from the Orrville Mennonite church with Rev I Roger officiating. Burial in Crown Hill cemetery.
