The D. H. S. stage with The Belle of Barcelona a popular high school operetta set in Barcella during Fiesta de los Toreadors. Dennis Gerber 10, son of Mr and Mrs Joshua Gerber, died at Massillon City Hospital after being struck by D D Mehr of Canton while crossing Lincoln Highway near his West Canton home. Coroner J B Patterson ruled accidental death after Wayne county investigation. Mehr not held.

Funeral Services Held For Mrs Anna Tschantz
Mrs Anna Tschantz aged 84 died Friday at her daughter Rosanna Shupp’s home east of town. Funeral services were conducted Monday at the Pleasant Valley United Brethren church with burial in Pleasant Valley cemetery. J R Taylor was the funeral director.

Jacob Bixler Dies Widely Known Dalton Resident
Jacob Bixler died Saturday at 9 a.m. May 3, a long trusted stock dealer and poultry buyer. Born August 17, 1862 southwest of Dalton, he married Barbara Zuercher in 1886. Survived by wife, two children Effie and Clyde, multiple siblings, and many cousins. Funeral services Tuesday at the Sonnenberg church with Rev. Lindsey officiating.

Boy Dennis Gerber Run Down by Car in Canton
grief fills the Joshua Gerber home after ten year old Dennis Gerber dies from injuries after being struck by W D Maher of Canton while returning from a baseball game near Green Oak. Dennis, described as bright and lovable, died in Massillon City Hospital hours later. Funeral planned at Sonnenberg church Des Voignes Mt Eaton Monday afternoon. Relatives and friends gathered to mark the fifth funeral in the family.
