The girls PE class schedules playground baseball with county and other high schools under coach Mr. Wolf. The boys lost twice this week, to Fredericksburg on Tuesday and to Chester 6-3 in the tournament. Sterling was met on Tuesday. Mt. Eaton appears May 6 at home. Calendar includes Junior-Senior banquet May 2, Baccalaureate May 11, Senior assembly May 12, operetta May 13, commencement May 16, with the operetta postponed due to time. Dalton High Defeats Sterling On Local Diamond
Dalton high defeated Sterling 4 to 1 on Tuesday at the local diamond. Victor Houghton underwent an appendicitis operation at Massillon hospital on Monday. Duane Wolf, a D H S graduate, was taken to Massillon hospital Saturday for an appendicitis operation. Mr and Mrs Dale Goudy attended the funeral of Mrs Goudys aunt at Orrville on Wednesday.

Mrs Elizabeth Buchwalter Dies at 79
Mrs Elizabeth Horst Buchwalter 79 died at 10:30 am April 28 at her home north of town after two weeks illness with complications. She is survived by her husband John Buchwalter and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the home at 9:30 and at Chestnut Ridge church at 10:30 Wednesday with Rev Abraham Good and Rev David Wenger officiating. Burial in Martin Mennonite cemetery.
