About 300 attended the Dalton F F A and Y F A father and son and Evening Classes party at the high school Friday. The program featured speeches, awards, and a donation from First National Bank for 15 boys who completed farm account books.
State officials warn a heavy last minute rush for 1939 license plates as 1938 plates near expiry with no time extensions beyond March 31. Bluffton College Vesper Choir of Bluffton Ohio will perform at Salem Mennonite Church Dalton on Sunday evening April 2 at 745 PM. The sixty member group sings mostly a cappella with a four part program including negro spirituals Russian pieces Bach and Tschaikowsky under director Professor Russell A Lantz. The choir tours regularly across Ohio and the eastern trip marks the fourth with extensive rehearsals and a mix of modern works.
Mrs C R Goudy hosted a Sunday school Easter party Thursday evening with Goldie Ferrer and Hazel Hofstetter in charge of games. Prizes went to Hazel Swartz Fay Moser Nellie Kraus and Helen Erwin. Jokes were told by Helen Moser and a story read by Hazel Swartz. Refreshments were provided by the hostess and Mabel Hershey. Guests included Lois Pratt Nellie Kraus June Herr and Betty Teeple. Mrs Leroy Kerstetter of Massillon hosted a Sunday dinner at her home honoring her father David L Zuercher on his birthday. Guests were Mrs Zuercher and Mr and Mrs Charles Bach of Dalton and Mr Kerstetter.
A surprise party at Mr and Mrs John Arney home honored their daughter Mabel birthday. Thirty guests attended with bingo games awarding prizes to Theodore Keller Dorothy Neiss Sara Barkman Pearl Neiss and Miriam Wenger. Refreshments were served late.
The Dalton Ladies Chorus consisting of twenty members will broadcast Friday from 6 45 to 7 p m on WADC Akron. Victor Gerber directs the chorus.
Paul A. Stockham announces daily afternoon sessions in the town hall to assist citizens with filing personal tax returns. Participants are urged to come early to avoid the rush. last day for assistance is April 1.

Dr and Mrs L L DeArment and Mr and Mrs E L Slusser attended a dog show in Cleveland. Mr and Mrs Frank Nussbaum hosted friends at a Silver Seal supper Thursday at their home. Mrs R L Hardgrove severely injured her right knee cap after a fall while shopping in Massillon. she will be unable to walk for two weeks.
