Ellis McPerry of Orrville suffered a broken collar bone and multiple cuts and bruises when a westbound touring car struck him as he repaired a tire near the curb on East Main Street last Sunday. The driver stopped and assisted the injured man who was later taken to Massillon hospital.
Arthur V. Hamman, who bought the Fred Zaugg farm near Dalton, was arrested in Dalton and taken to Wooster by Special Officer Smith on a charge of improbity in a lumber deal. Reports say he sold timber stump to cut and deliver to the railroad, with three to five thousand feet missing. His stepfather, living with him, turned informant after a quarrel.
Notice prohibits shooting fireworks or any firearms inside Dalton city limits before the morning of July 4. The order is signed by Mayor T. C. Hunsicker.
The article recalls the 18th century home of John Carlyle in Alexandria near the Potomac. Built in 1752 atop an earlier fort, it preserves interiors from colonial days, including a canopy bed once used by General Braddock and a hallway clock. Washington reportedly received his commission here after the Governors Council meeting.
On Saturday evening June 11 Carl Lawrence proprietor of the Dalton Agint Shop and Ruth Moser daughter of David P. Moser were married at the United Presbyterian Parsonage. Rev H Ray Shear officiated and the couple left for a lakeside trip. The community extends congratulations.
Mrs Callie Roebuck widow of Dr Roebuck and Mr Bert Bevington of Akron were married in Akron on Saturday June 11. After the ceremony the couple left for a visit with Pennsylvania friends and will reside in Akron.
The Dalton Chautauqua Committee announces a three day event with Radcliffe Chautauqua in Dalton. G. J. Mayer directs and speaks on day two joined by Dr. Benjamin F. Wyland Miss Maurine Woodruff Gordon Forsberg Edward Barroll and other performers. Adult season tickets are two dollars and children's one dollar with proceeds benefiting local welfare and community interests.

West Lebanon defeated Dalton 7 to 3 as drizzle slowed play. Dalton started strong but couldn’t recover, promising to rebound in their next match and hit on all four again.
Mrs. Minnie Stinson widow of James Stinson died at her daughter Jacob Rannels home in Akron last Thursday. Interment was in Dalton cemetery Saturday afternoon. She had lived in Dalton for many years.
