Marshallville Bank Closes Its Doors
The Marshallville bank failed to open Thursday after a run begun Wednesday. Depositors are promised full repayment, with about $26,000 in deposits. Receiver E S Wertz was appointed, bond set at $25,000. A J Solomon and Frank S Black own the bank, Butler Manufacturing Co named in the filing.

Boy Has Leg Amputated After Railroad Acccident
Joseph Maurer a 16 year old of Wooster lost a leg when a Pennsylvania freight train struck him while he walked along the tracks with two companions. The accident occurred east of Wooster and Maurer had his leg amputated below the knee at Wooster hospital.

Death by Own Action Near Shreve
James Kiser a prosperous young farmer living west of Shreve died in the early hours Saturday by taking strychnine. He was 34 married and father of four children, the eldest 11. He is a son of Theodore Kiser who died about three weeks ago. Grief over his father's death is believed to have driven the act. Close friends noted his deep sorrow but no indication of imminent self harm.

Accidental Shooting Claims Life of Young Farmer
Ora Heyl, 22, of Wooster, was shot while hunting crows near his uncle Henry Heyl’s farm. He did not return home at dusk, was found mortally wounded with a left side wound, and died about two hours after reaching the house. He said the gun discharged while climbing a fence, and a blood trail showed he crawled toward home.
