The local band delivered a strong first concert of the 1930 season to a large appreciative crowd. Prof. Puegner excelled, the program pleased attendees, and business leaders underwrote weekly concerts in Dalton. A list of subscribers includes Camp's Service Station, W. W. Chiles M D, Robert E. Reed druggist, Ira A. Berg meat market, Goudy's Confectionery The Stag, First National Bank, and many others.

Adam Weiss born March 25 1858 near Dundee Ohio died June 10 1930 aged 72 8 15 married December 16 1880 to Lucinda Gerber. Survived by widow two children four brothers and one sister. Sunshine class thirty five attended the June meeting at Mr. and Mrs Dennis Arnold home. Willard Hauenstein led devotionals and Mrs. Earl Locke presided. Merle Douglas and Wayne Douglas organized games and a duet Neapolitan Nights by Ethel and Edna Douglas with Blanche Palmer on piano. A covered dish luncheon followed and a picnic is planned at the Wayne Douglas home on the second Tuesday in July.
