Samuel Saurer Killed by Canton Interurban at Whipple Road
Samuel A Saurer 51 of 201 Arlington Avenue was struck and killed by a westbound Canton Massillon interurban at Whipple road one mile west of Canton while driving from a cross road to the main highway. His car was hurled 250 feet down a hill and demolished. Motorman Jacob Biddle and Conductor George Marlowe were in charge. Saurer a Dalton native and former bakery owner who later sold goods as a traveling salesman is survived by a wife four sisters two brothers and will be buried at Orrville from Reformed church after arrival of the 10 17 Pennsylvanian train.

Bull Killed After Mortally Wounding Farmer near Canal Fulton
William Wagner a 45 year old farmer living two miles west of Canal Fulton on Warwick road was fatally attacked by an 1800 pound Holstein bull in his barnyard. The bull crushed his chest after throwing him against a fence. Wagner is said to have saved his two year old son Arthur who was only scratched. Farm hand Jack Fully witnessed the attack and shot the bull after considering shooting could endanger the child. Wagner died at the scene leaving a wife and three children.

June Weather Record Brings Heat and Frost Across Week
Friday brought a mild start with warm shade readings before a sharp cold snap on Saturday. Northeasterly winds accompanied a drop to 48, followed by cooler Sunday and frosty Monday and Tuesday mornings with 35 recorded at 4 30. Despite the chill three day wind helped limit crop damage while June 6 stood as the hottest in 43 years and June 7 8 and 9 among the coldest.
