At the June 11 graduation in Columbus Ohio State University Robert L Gerber son of Mr and Mrs Willis L Gerber will receive the degree of Doctor of Medicine He is a 1957 Dalton graduate and a 1961 Goshen College graduate He will begin a rotating internship July 1 at Riverside Methodist Hospital Columbus and plans to enter general practice in northeastern Ohio.

Fire at Massie Home Cars Collide After Alarm

Dalton Board Buys Replacement Equipment For Water System
The Dalton board of public affairs voted Monday to purchase a Culligan automatic solution feeder and a Malton Bay mixer from Culligan Water Conditioning Wooster. The new mixer will distribute chlorine and other chemicals. Bills totaling 800 were approved for payment. The resignation of Wulfred Matz as assistant to supt Denbrook was accepted and interested parties should contact Vernon Hoebler. President Ed Burger remains in hospital but is improving. The Dalton Garden club was hosted Thursday at Mrs Fred Blosser’s Badoja farm with Mrs Dale Lowe leading devotions.

The Dalton slo pitch softball league opened with four players hitting .1000. Dave Milhoan of Horst Machine and Gregg Oswald went 4 for 4 while DJ and Randy Gonter were 3 for 3. Their teams won the first games as play runs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:00 and 8:30 EDT with supporters welcome.

Cow and Calf Show heads to Massillon this summer
The Independent Milk Producers Association in cooperation with Reiter and Harter All Star Dairy announce the Cow and Calf Show in its second season. A new painted barn trailer with a sound system will tour eight area cities, including Massillon on August 4. Members ship dairy to Reiter and Harter and reside in Wayne County and six surrounding counties.

Hochstetler Earns All Conference Honor in 1965 Baseball
Harry Hochstetler son of Mr and Mrs Richard Hochstetler was named to the All Conference Hoosier team for 1965. He posted a .338 batting average the second highest on Manchester College and has been the college's first baseman for two years. A Dalton high graduate, Hochstetler was a junior majoring in business education.
