Ashland Grad Gary Kula Set for June Ceremonies

Ashland College announces Gary L. Kula in the 1967 graduating class. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a biology major and participated in dormitory government Phi Kappa Psi Judo football and wrestling. Baccalaureate is Sunday June 11 at 9 00 am followed by Commencement at 3 00 pm on campus. The Burnett Dance Studio presented show The Wonderful World of Television will be at Dalton junior high auditorium Saturday at 8 00 pm with tickets in adult 1.25 and 50 cents for children.

Look out moon we come to Cape Chemistry's rocket launch

On a clear Cape Chemistry day the crew prepared a rocket launch. The 3 40 bell signaled transfer from the assembly area to the launch pad. Mark Von Gerber fitted the capsule as Mike Thomas Chuck Yoder watched. The countdown began and the rocket lifted with a white smoke trail. George Bixler supervised recovery as the ship descended and touched down softly.

Methodist and Presbyterian Services This Sunday in Dalton

This Sunday and next, Dalton community services will be 8:30 at the Methodist church and 10:45 at the Presbyterian, Rev. Robert Richardson in charge both Sundays. Sun school at the Methodist 9:30 with supt. James West. Acolytes for June are Diane and Louise Weisgarber. Welcomers are Mr and Mrs William Tyrell. The Wednesday Women's Growth group will discontinue meeting for part of the summer. Cherub-choir practice is Wednesday June 14 at 7 p.m. The other choirs will not rehearse. The children will sing at the 8:30 service June 18. The finance commission will meet with a representative of the board of missions Tuesday evening June 13. The official board will meet Monday June 19 at 8.
