David Welty, 56, died Tuesday night at 9 15 when his vehicle left its lane and collided with a group of Mt Hope youths returning from a ball game at Kidron. Several were injured. Survived by wife Susan Gerber Welty son Denver and daughter Eva. Funeral services set for Friday June 4 at 9 15 at the home and 10 30 at Sonnenberg Church. Desvoignes in charge of arrangements.

Relief Shoe Drive canvass for Wayne County towns
On Thursday June 3 volunteers will canvass Fredricksburg Dalton Apple Creek and Mt. Eaton house to house for the Wayne County Shoes for Relief Drive.
