The listed program for the Dalton band concert Saturday night includes works by Sousa, Moren o, Berlin, and Castro with conductor Prof. Oscar Puengner leading the ensemble.
The Fletcher family held its first reunion at Chippewa Lake on Sunday July 20 with about 100 members and friends. A picnic dinner followed by a business meeting decided to host the next gathering at David Fletcher’s near Bowdil on Labor Day 1925. Dalton attendees included Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Gibson and family, Mrs. Roxie Farmer, Mrs. Joella Hoiles, and Lloyd Poorman.
A pamphlet advocates re election of Judge Ross W. Funk of Wooster to the Court of Appeals. It bears signatures from four district lawyers and a banker and notes Funk served a short term and is entitled to a full term. It praises his record and calls the court equitably distributed with judges from three of four counties.
A strip mine near Stanwood offers nut slack threshing coal at $1.00 per box load. Quick sale announced to reduce threshing costs.
The M E church of Dalton plans a festival Saturday evening July 26 1924 to raise funds for church needs. Local residents are invited to attend for an evening of activities and refreshments.
Weekly Wednesday and Saturday nights feature dancing with good music at Fischer's Grove on the Lincoln Highway. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Floyd Saurer and Elam Gerber call off a sale of property after protests over closing the Kidron blacksmith shop, which will remain open. Earl Gerber welcomed a ten pound boy. Several local families visited relatives and traveled to Portage County and Lattisb urg. Others noted slight stroke recovery for Chr Zuercher Sr. and continued mobility.

Black Gold won the Chicago derby at Hawthorne, its fourth Derby victory since March.
