Hail As Large As Goose Eggs Strikes County
A Wooster News report describes a Sunday hail storm about three miles south of the city. Goose egg sized hail battered crops, buildings, stock and vehicles for about fifteen minutes, leaving ice three inches thick across fields and winterlike conditions everywhere.
Festival and Band Concert at Stanwood July 26 1918
Stanwood hosts a Saturday night festival and band concert to raise funds for new policing accommodations. The Regt Band of Dalton provides continuous music with ice cream lemonade and watermelon as part of the event under Class No 1 of the Stanwood Sunday School committees.

Death Of Former Dalton Lady Mrs J O Wilcox
Relatives report the death of Mrs J O Wilcox in Cleveland at age 45 after a long illness. She leaves a husband seven sons one daughter and her parents Mr and Mrs W H Sellers. Siblings Mrs F E Gibson and Mrs A S Tuttle and Mr W F Sallers also survive. Funeral Thursday with Sellers and Gibson in attendance. the Wilcox family lived in Dalton until after the big fire and moved to Cleveland in 1895.

Open Air Church Services Draw Large Rural Attendance
