Farmers Institute Highlights Local Reach and Awards
The annual Farmers Institute drew an average attendance of 501 across six sessions in the Dalton High School auditorium. Lieut. Governor John T. Brown and poultry specialist Mrs. Frank Dennis headlined talks on youth, legislation, 4-H work, and high egg production. Community music, a home talent play, and numerous 4-H club awards and ribbons filled the program, with officers elected for the coming year and prize winners named across multiple 4-H clubs.

Extensive Road Program Planned in Wayne County
Wayne County will construct eighty five miles of traffic bound highways in 1930 with township and county cooperation. Each of sixteen townships will receive about 1500 dollars from gasoline tax funds, enabling roughly two miles of new roads per township.
