The Strat fords present a debut male quartet organized by a noted Lyceum organizer and coach. The group includes J. E. Hutchison, Lloyd Duncan, T. P. Duffield, and R J. Brown performing vocal music instrumental pieces and entertainment to satisfy diverse tastes.
The Stratford Male Quartet will perform at the Dalton Lecture Course in the School Hall on Saturday evening February 1 at 7 45. Organized and coached by Elias Dey the group aims to be a top Lyceum male quartet and offers distinctive numbers. Entertainment lovers are expected to enjoy the program alongside the Kuftie Boys and Bobanana as supplements.

Orrville resident Samuel W. Coe age 64 died after a week long illness. He leaves wife Weila A. Coe and two sons Howard of Ames Iowa and Elmer of Orrville, plus two sisters Mrs Henry Wertz and Mrs Eunice Coe. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from East Orr street residence with interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
The village of Smithville will pave the public square and the street to the W and L depot. Engineer Philip Markley of Wonster has been retained for the project. Weather permitting, work is expected to begin soon.

A postal notice informs subscribers who are one year or more in arrears that statements will be sent on February 10. It notes laws limit extending credit to one year, and urges prompt payment or contact to remit before the statements go out.
Harvey Shanower of Massillon was indicted by the Summit county grand jury at Akron on a first degree murder charge. He allegedly choked his wife Edna Hardgrove Shanower to death in their Barberton home last December after a quarrel. The trial is set for the next term of court.

Mrs. Leonard Langell aged 29 died at her Applecreek home Monday after a brief illness caused by a nervous breakdown and blood poisoning. She was the daughter of Daniel Brenneman of Orrville. Survived by her husband and one son Robert. She belonged to the Methodist church and the funeral was held in Orrville yesterday afternoon.
Jacob Boughman died Tuesday morning at his Elton home from a severe grip. He leaves his widow and four sons Marion and Sylvester of Canton Emaquel of Crystal Springs Mandis of Massillon and Mrs Morgan Jones of Park Heights. His wife is seriously ill and in critical condition.
Real estate transfers list buyers and sellers across Orrville Plain township Smithville Wooster Steve and Orrville again. Amounts range from $700 to $2000 with transfers involving multiple couples and individuals.

A bill to be introduced into the legislature would tax motor vehicles by type and power. Motorcycles would pay 3 dollars, electrics 5, small cars 5, and larger cars at higher rates. Forty horse power cars would owe 20 dollars and those over 50 horsepower 25 dollars.
