Mrs. Herbert Eby nee Gallatip died Tuesday evening when her buggy fell en route home from Massillon. About 38, she suffered heart trouble for some time and was with two young children. Miners nearby rushed to help. she was pronounced dead. Funeral Friday from the Sixteen church.
Isaac Richwine aged 80 years died Saturday January 11 1913 near Wooster from pneumonia after a brief illness. The community was shocked as few knew of his serious illness. A fuller biographical sketch will follow. Funeral was held Tuesday forenoon with Postmaster Jameson, wife and family in attendance.
Jobn A Gochnauer a longtime Wayne county resident and Civil War veteran died Wednesday at 4 AM after a week long pneumonia illness He was 69 years old He leaves a wife eight children four brothers and one sister Funeral was held Saturday at the Orrville Reformed church in Orrville Ohio.

From the Gazette files a quarter century ago Bailey Broz. will relocate their sawmill to town amid growing local sentiment for a new union school building. Other notes include the Dalton creamery harvesting ice, a mine shipment near East Greenville, and long timber shipments.
The annual New Year dinner of the United Presbyterian congregation at Goudy hall drew over 100 attendees despite rain and funeral conflicts. A varied program followed a fine dinner with music from a girls quartet, German duets, readings, violin solos, and child recitations. Prof. H. F. Longenecker and Rev. Hubbell spoke as guests, gifts were given to all, and 27 members joined the church in the past year.
Miss Grace Owens of this place suffered a Saturday injury while assisting in moving an organ. A year after an appendicitis operation she was taken to Wooster hospital Tuesday, accompanied by her mother, amid fears the injury may be serious.

Arthur Rellick aged 1 of Five Point near Massillon was struck by a Pennsylvania freight train at West Cherry street cross a Friday afternoon. He was hurled down the embankment into the Tuscarawas river and died instantly. the body recovered after difficulty due to high water.
Gov Cox named Price Russell of Crewton as executive clerk to replace John W Devanney of Cincinnati. This marks the governor’s first appointment.
Fred Campbell of Seville aged 66 a day laborer living alone since his wife’s death was severely burned early Tuesday while building a line for an oil can. He is in a Wooster hospital in serious condition. Tra Barkheimer of Canton visited Dalton relatives Sunday.

A real street fight broke out between two 16 year old girls on East North street at noon Friday on their way home from high school. The melee began with a ball pulling match and escalated to a full fight before bystanders. No serious injuries were reported.
