The village of Dalton inaugurated the new year with a new Mayor T C Hunsicker who led the oath ceremonies. Bonds approved President of the Council pro tem J F Budd. The council adjourned sine die and planned a meeting for January 9 1920.

Newly elected Sugar Creek township board met January 1 to organize for the term. Jacob Bixler was elected president with R. M. Douglass and C. R. Snavely named as new board members. Ira Johnson serves as Clerk, P. F. Kurzen as Treasurer, W. P. Slusser as Constable, and H. K. Staver as Ditch Supervisor.

Local Band Receives AFM Membership in Massillon

Baughman Grange Dedicates New Hall
The Baughman Grange officially dedicated a $10 000 Grange Hall on Friday January 2 a large crowd attended. State Master L J Taber presided and urged member cooperation to maintain the new brick hall on Dalton Marshallville road with 36 by 66 feet assembly area and banquet room. A dinner for 225 followed the service and A A Weygandt led the afternoon program with music readings and speeches.
