School Bus Contracts Awarded Under New Foundation Plan

Education board awards three year bus contracts for Sugar Creek township routes. Route 1 to Harry Blosser at 6.85 per day, Route 2 to Fred Fahrney at 6.25, Route 3 to Harry Blosser at 5.35. Bidders included D Amstutz Irvin Gerber McFarren Bros and Walter Domer.

First National Bank hires Goldie Gerber as clerk in Dalton

At a special meeting of the bank directors Miss Goldie Gerber, a Canton business college student and D H S graduate, was employed as clerk and began duties Monday. Wedded Fifty Years Shriber Anniversary in Akron

The fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Traffic Mishaps Average 25 Daily On State Highways

An average of 25.9 accidents per day on state highways outside municipalities was reported to the Traffic Bureau for the first ten months of 1935. Highway Director John Jaster Jr announced 7571 accidents occurred January 1 to October 31. There were 629 deaths and 6365 injuries.

Dalton High Triumphs Over Lisbon 24 to 20 in Close Night

Dalton High defeated Lisbon 24 to 20 in a tight Saturday game with a second half rally. It marked the team’s third win in four games this season. In the earlier match, Dalton reserves beat Marshallville 31 to 18, with Stahl and Thomas each scoring 14. The Dalton Parsons lost to Lockport Lagers 37 to 33. Clyde Camp’s funeral was held Friday at his home with large attendance and M E church rites. Interment was at Dalton Cemetery with 25 Cedar Lodge No 480 Masons conducting the rituals.

Lattin Named Akron Division Commercial Head at Ohio Bell

Leroy E. Lattin becomes division commercial manager in Akron succeeding Charles F. McGuire who moves to Cleveland. Lattin, with 15 years in the Bell System, previously led commercial work for Ohio Bell's north eastern area from Cleveland. He formerly served at Northwestern Bell in Omaha from 1920 to 1927.
