Wayne county will build eight miles of inter county and market roads plus one mile of county highway next year. County commissioners approved the plan late Tuesday. Roads include two and a half miles west from the brick road west of Wooster and two and a half miles from the east Corporation line of Wooster to Vast Union township line. One and a half miles from Orrville corporation line and one mile from Shreve south line to the county line. State aid funds the first four segments. the last will be funded by county, township and property owners.

The home of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Clapper hosted a wedding on Wednesday at noon. Cora Clapper wed William Winter Erwin with Rev J. W. Findlay officiating. Attendants were Miss Idella Clapper and Mr. Oferwin. Guests admired pink and white decor, carnations, and lace crepe gowns. After a reception and rice shower, the couple planned a brief honeymoon before settling at Evergreen Nookep s.

Miss Claire McAfee became the wife of Byron Benson of Parkston D. S. at high noon in a quiet ceremony. Attendants assisted as doors opened for the bride and groom with Nora Sau on violin accompanying the wedding march. The service was conducted by Rev W H Hubbell using the ring ceremony.
From the Gazette files a quarter century ago. Lancaster Almanacs at Scott's and John Moser Jr start a month visit to brother Peter near Bluffton Ohio. David P. Moser presents an ear of corn with 1451 grains. Mesera, Wm Weaver and J W Mewell purchase a Suez store at Applecreek and the stock is being invoiced.
The bride wore white shadow voile and a maroon velvet traveling gown for the trip to Akron and Cleveland. A wedding dinner followed the ceremony and the cake held a ring a dime and a thimble. Mr and Mrs Benson will reside in Parkston after January 1 1914.
At 4 PM November 27, in Rev Henry Hursh home, Nimma Martin and Jacob Martin of Orrville were united in marriage. After a dinner for close relatives, the couple and attendants returned to the bride’s home and plan to reside on a farm near Orrville.

Peter Latona of Wooster, owner of a local fruit store, was fatally wounded by an accidental shotgun discharge while climbing a fence near Madisonburg last Thursday. He died after being taken to Wooster hospital. Survived by a wife and five children.
