The vocal school at Pokeberry No. 5 will close on Saturday night August 20 with a program directed by E. T. Hildebrand Basie Va. The program includes choruses part songs solos duets and quartets. A small admission fee will cover expenses. Come.
R H Camp Dalton announces fresh meat price cuts for today. Best pot roasts per pound, boiling meat, steak, and hamburger are advertised with reduced rates. Also offered are fresh veal pork and smoked meats.
Gladys Idella Brenner daughter of Mr and Mrs John Brenner of East Greenville and Jay M Horst son of Mr and Mrs M W Horst near Burton City were married at the Methodist parsonage Rev J H Schweisberger officiating. Attendants were Olive Fisher and Ira Horst. After a wedding dinner they left for a two week tour to Atlantic City and other points. They will reside in Greenville Ohio after Sept 1. The Gazette extends congratulations.
Dalton defeats Mt Eaton 6 to 5 with a late homer by Rudy and a go ahead score by Jones in the eighth. Miller started for Dalton and Doty relieved for Mt Eaton with Camp as umpire. Next Saturday Dalton hosts Baughman Grange at 3:00. festival in West Lebanon features the Tuscarawas Community band.

Sonnenberg residents plan trips to the Bixler Bixel reunion in Bluffton Ohio and Baumgartner reunion in Berne, with Miss Mary Springer accompanying. Mrs. E A Basinger and Mrs. Kirchhofer attend aunt Nussbaum's funeral in Bluffton. The community hosts a Kirchhofer grove homecoming with 50 diners and German songs led by D C Neuenschwander. Mrs. Fred Badertscher remains ill.
Miss Sylvia daughter of Mr and Mrs J H Tschantz wed Prof S Floyd Pannabecker of Bluffton Ohio in an outdoor lawn ceremony on Wednesday morning. Relative streams of Susans decorated the setting while Clyde Tschantz sang Oh Promise Me and Lohengrin’s wedding march accompanied the bridal party. The couple will reside in Bluffton Ohio where Pannabecker is an assistant professor of physics and they plan an extended Michigan motor trip.
The Schwartz family held its third annual reunion at the old Schwartz homestead on Saturday, August 13, with about 150 attendees. A dinner followed, and a ball game between single and married men ended in the seventh inning, singles winning 13 to 6. Officers elected for the year: President Harry Schwartz, Secretary-Treasurer Mrs. A. D. Moser, Corresponding Secretary Miss Alda Amstutz, Historian D. C. Schwartz.
Dalton readers learn that T. C. Myers has bought the Frank Gibson restaurant and ice cream parlors and will run the business along existing lines. He solicits continued patronage from the public.
Amos arrived home from Bluffton as J. H. Tschantz recovers enough to join services and teach. Rev. M. A. Niswander is elected delegate to the Central Mennonite conference near Fortune Mo. Several residents travel to Bluffton for Mrs. David Nussbaum’s funeral.
